January 2004 - I bought this wood on the internet.  This wood is found in many countries including Brazil, Guyana, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. The name "Bloodwood" is from the United Kingdom and each country has a different name. Main uses are for cabinet work, sliced veneer, flooring, turned goods, sculptures and heavy carpentery or wood handles.
