June 2006 - Because of their economic plight, Kristina and Johannes were not able to immigrate to North America. Their situation improved slightly because so many left their native Scandinavia. Johannes bought a rake for his wife but could not afford to buy a fork so he made one out of wood. Carved from basswood, they stand about 6 inches tall. This is the second set I've carved.
